Wales Township was organized on March 27, 1841 and will be celebrating it's "175th Year Birthday" in 2016.
We are largely an agricultural-residential community
of approximately 3000 residents living in a thirty-six
square mile township, located in the heart of St. Clair County,
Michigan. St. Clair County is the easternmost county in the State of Michigan, at the base of the "thumb", where the foot of Lake Huron and the head of the St. Clair River join.
Wales Township is also the home of the St. Clair County Park and Fairgrounds where the yearly 4-H fair is held and among other things to offer it's residents.
The Wales Township Park has been in progress over the last couple of years and now has a pavilion, a beautiful playscape and new hand pump for water. The park is located next to the Township Hall on Wales Center Road.
